NITROPHYL® Floats

NITROPHYL® Floats

Rogers Corporation has more than 40 years experience on float design and manufacturing with patented NITROPHYL® material. Its annual production is more than 50 million pcs and shares of over 65% float market in the fuel level sensor in the Automotive industry.

NITROPHYL closed cell foam gives you exceptional reliability for liquid level sensors.

NITROPHYL Floats are used for liquid level sensing in:

  • automotive fuel and oil reservoirs, carburetors
  • marine and small engine industries
  • underground storage tanks
  • metering devices
  • automatic relief valves
  • other applications where accurate, reliable measurement of liquid is important.ie transformer, central air conditioning, washing machine, sanitary ware and fishing

Rogers benefits you with:

  • custom floats moldable into nearly any shape, including complex shapes
  • plastic, metal, or magnetic metal inserts can be added
  • some standard floats
  • closed-cell float material, known for its resistance to most fuels, oils, aqueous solutions, solvents, and chemicals – unlike hollow floats, not subject to sudden failure
  • NITROPHYL-M floats, which offer improved resistance to methanol, are often specified for fuel mixtures.

Quality and Environmental Assurance

  • No ozone-depleting chemicals or CFCs are used in manufacturing
  • NITROPHYL and KF material is recyclable with other rubber-type components
  • Recyclable packaging
