I joined Rogers as planner in Y2005, before that, I had been a planner for 5 years. Since I joined Rogers in mid-career, coupled with the occupational habits I’ve formed, I treat Rogers MRPS (Major Responsibility Performance Standards) as formalistic paper, I do not think this system can help me in career development. But I changed my mind after I really benefit from it in Y2008, Rogers provide the opportunity to me in SCM department, I realized the MRPS was workable if you treat it seriously.

Over the past three years in Rogers, the more I understand Rogers, the more I like it. Rogers MRPS system let me know more about myself, the job transfer give me a lot of challenge, it attracts me to think, to learn and to solve, after that, you not only find the answer, but also find yourself much more capable. During my work, I always feel my bosses really care my development, they understand me, they know me, and they plan for me! Whenever I feel I can handle my work very well, I will be given a more challenging work, or bigger responsibility, it help me become more professional, and more maturity.

I’m also inspired by the great team in Rogers. We have very talented managers in Rogers, who are eager to learn and eager to win. We have great team to help and support each other, every one learns from each other in this warmest big family. I’m also inspired by how company supports the personal development, Rogers provide a lot of outside or on job training opportunities, the MDP (My Development Program) project has excellent teacher and wonderful class. For me, I never regret to join Rogers.

Change the world

Someone said, vision adds action then you can change the world. I learn it from Rogers “My Development Program”. It is so true and now at least I change my world.

Looking back into 2004, I joined Rogers as GM Assistant. From that time, I received different challenges, trainings and chances, now I become Compliance Officer, Asia. As time goes by, the change is like a miracle, which is out of my original expectation. As an experienced secretary, the first position is not difficult to me. I was attracted by Rogers for its long history, company culture and big potential in China at that time. Just within several months, a lot of fresh persons joined Rogers who are very young, energetic and full of passion to the work. My responsibilities increased as I moved on to become Executive Assistant to the Vice President and Administrative Supervisor, and then Supervisor, Asia Business Administration in the following years. This is through internal bidding process; also a growth with recognition and support from the company, sometime it was even a surprise to me, such as when my boss Mike Cooper came to me in autumn of 2005 and asked me if I was willing to deal with legal stuff, I totally knew nothing about that and had zero background of law, but I took this challenge. Since I realize I am in a very good company which connects employees’ vision with company vision, it is focus on employees’ development. HR provided a wonderful training center to all employees: begin with Orientation, Ready Program, and then On Job Training, My Development Plan, etc. The company build up a great platform to encourage all employees grow up, face new challenge, improve technical skill and leadership skill as well. We are expected to explore our potential as we can, we have chances to do the new job, we are not afraid of failure and we learn in the fly. I made my mind to be a professional and experienced in house lawyer in 2006. This target is so difficult in the very beginning, however with company’s support, I made commitment to my boss, my colleagues and more important, to myself. Cherish all resource we gain here, purchase our dream, and we can make it happen. The dream became reality after more than one years hard studying and working, I passed National Judicial Exam and became a full time member of Corporate Compliance from Jan 2009. Now I am in the door of law and start another long way towards my vision, meanwhile I feel proud of myself to contribute more to the company.
